If you've read this blog before, you know I'm a big believer in celebrating the baby steps. You also know that I love random reasons to do giveaways. Though there are plenty of people out there with a gazillion Twitter followers (I'm looking at you, Lady Gaga), I have recently reached the 1,000 mark despite my random tweets about bacon and tater tots. So, I'm combining the Wednesday Query Critique (usually held on the last Wed. of each month) with other great prizes. Enter below for you chance to win a query critique, a 1st 5 pages critique, a 1st chapter critique, or a YA book of your choice! Feel free to tell me other giveaway ideas for future contests in the comments, and if you follow me on Twitter, I'll try to tweet informative writing links (along with random bacon tweets). Good luck!

DeleteCongrats! Awesome contest! Most of my reading lately has been for clients or friends. I did recently read Shatter Me. I know, I know, I'm behind on my reading list.
ReplyDeleteOh, I picked that one up in the bookstore and came so close to buying it. I'll have to look at it again. :)
DeleteHey Kristi! Roflcopter's an awesome idea for readership. What are some other good tips for increasing blog readership? Have you found that the roflcopter contests helped? What's your story on that, and what kind of advice have you gotten from your agent for building your platform?
ReplyDeleteOh, I entered the contest as Jen Veldhuyzen, by the way,a nd this is my comment = P I've been lurking around here before.
DeletePetre--I can definitely do a blog post on building platform in the future because it entails a lot. I already had a platform through Twitter and Sisters in Scribe when I got my agent, which she checked out before she offered representation. It's never to late to start, but I'd recommend at least getting on FB, twitter and/or blogging if you aren't already. Thanks for the post idea--I'll get to it soon. :)
DeleteCongrats, again!! The book I fell in love recently is Obsidian. I couldn't put it down.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
Oh, I haven't heard of that one but I love the title...thanks for the suggestion! :)
